Today, it’s red-light cameras, and the somewhat-positive trends we’ve been noticing lately. King Edward Avenue is home to a trio of Ottawa’s 10 busiest red-light cameras in 2025. To be fair, that’s a long stretch of traffic ground to cover. However, in a section of Lowertown, that camera has snagged fewer red-light runners in the first 4 months of this year. Is this a sign that people are getting the message, or are today’s drivers finding different shortcuts? Rideau-Vanier councillor Stephanie Plante joins the program in Hour 1.
