September 12, 2025

OC Transpo officials are still targeting a late-2025 opening of O-Train Line 1 service, predominantly to passengers in Orleans. However, when they were asked for a concrete launch date, none was given during Thursday’s Transit Committee meeting. Director of Rail Construction Richard Holder has outlined the 6 steps that are required before service can receive the green light. Beacon Hill-Cyrville councillor Tim Tierney wasn’t holding his breath when asked about a pre-2026 launch date, holding onto hope for a February 2026 launch date instead. Kari Glynes-Elliott, a co-founder of Ottawa Transit Riders, joins Kristy Cameron in Hour 2. On a lighter note, it’s probably easier to catch a ride to the nearest movie theatre these days. If that’s something you wanted to do this weekend, Matt Demers has got you covered with his Weekly Movie Picks! Fair warning: Friday’s countdown kicks off with a Horror movie. Plus, in an update to an ongoing postal service saga, Canada Post is putting its foot down on junk mail. CFRA's Chris Holski explains.

It is false. It is outrageous,” he said. Charlie Kirk was a great man. He deserves...
