Back in late-April, Mark Carney had successfully secured the country’s top job and a strong minority government for the Liberal Party. Things were looking bleak on the economic front leading up to the federal election, but there was a breeze of cautious optimism once Carney took office. Shifting gears to the world of late-night entertainment, it appears that another program is on the verge of extinction. Jimmy Kimmel lit up a social media firestorm earlier this week after taking aim at Charlie Kirk’s killer, and then calling out the controversial reactions to Kirk’s demise. ABC says, until further notice, Kimmel’s program will be on an indefinite hiatus. Authorities say the remains of Travis Decker, accused of killing and abandoning the bodies of three young sisters in the U.S. wilderness, have been located.
