Ottawa Now - Nanos survey says Canadians remain financially pessimistic in the Carney regime's early stages

Back in late-April, Mark Carney had successfully secured the country’s top job. And while things were looking bleak on the economic front leading up to the federal election, there was a breeze of cautious optimism once the new Liberal government moved into the House of Commons. In a brand-new Nanos Research poll, only 11 percent of Canadians feel they are in a better financial position today compared to this past Spring. That ties the record for the worst positive sentiment since Nanos started tracking this statistic in 2008. What is fueling this worry? Jessica Moorhouse is a personal finance expert and the author of ‘Everything But Money’. She joins Kristy Cameron on today’s Ottawa Now.
