B.C. Conservative Leader John Rustad passes leadership review with 70% support

British Columbia Conservative Leader John Rustad, who helms the province’s Official Opposition, has won a 70 per cent show of support of party members, following a months-long review that was marked by low turnout.
The voting results were announced hours before Mr. Rustad was scheduled to meet Conservative MLAs in Victoria on Monday evening to determine if he still has their confidence to lead the caucus.
An Ottawa city council committee Tuesday accepted a plan to actively recruit family doctors to the city. That’s an area that is outside the city’s responsibility and one where the city lacks experience, expertise and leverage. Read More
