Husband of ex-Astronomer HR exec reportedly at Coldplay concert with a date

September 24, 2025

Andrew Cabot, the husband of a human resources executive who was caught on Coldplay’s “kiss camera,” was reportedly at the concert with a date of his own.

In a widely shared video, the CEO of tech company Astronomer, Andy Byron, was shown holding and swaying with his colleague, chief people officer Kristin Cabot at the July concert in Massachusetts. When they realized they were on camera, Cabot covered her face and Byron ducked down. Coldplay’s lead singer Chris Martin joked: “Either they’re having an affair or they’re very shy.” The original video posted on TikTok has been viewed more than 130 million times.

The subsequent fallout led to Byron and Cabot resigning after much public scrutiny. Both were “technically” married at the time, Page Six reported . However, Cabot and her husband, Andrew, were in the midst of an” amicable” separation and had already been living apart for “several weeks,” a source told The Times .

Andrew was at the same Coldplay concert “with a date, with a woman who is now his girlfriend,” the source said. The source also denied that Cabot and Byron were having an affair and said she “wasn’t hiding.”

“She doesn’t know why she ducked,” said the source. “She knew it was inappropriate to behave that way with her boss as the head of HR,” the source said, calling the relationship just a “great friendship.”

A source close to Cabot told People Magazine that the former Astronomer employees had an “excellent working relationship,” but there was “no affair.”

“It was inappropriate to be hugging your boss at a concert, and she accepts full responsibility for it,” the source told People. “But the scandal, the downfall, the loss of the job — all of that is unfair.”

Less than 10 days after the concert, Astronomer hired Martin’s ex-wife, actress and businesswoman Gwyneth Paltrow, as a temporary spokesperson after being thrust into the global spotlight. In a satirical one-minute video, Paltrow thanked viewers for their interest in Astronomer and said the company had received “a lot of questions over the last few days.”

“We’ve been thrilled so many people have a new found interest in data workflow automation,” she said. She concluded that the company would be “returning to what we do best, delivering game-changing results for our customers.”

Cabot filed for divorce on Aug. 13, according to court documents, NBC News reported . Byron is reportedly still married, but his wife left their home and removed her last name from social media, per Page Six.

According to the source who spoke to The Times, since the video of the concert circulated, Cabot has received hundreds of death threats. The source said: “The level of cruelty and vitriol lobbied at her was unfathomable.”

Canada’s practice of Indigenous land acknowledgements, viewed by many as a pivotal component of reconciliation, is not without its critics, including some Indigenous leaders and scholars who see them as a performative token gesture. Joining that group are podcasters and comedians Joe Rogan and Andrew Schulz, who briefly discussed the declarations now routinely made at public and private events held by government, schools and increasingly in the business sector. Such was the case for Schulz, who broached the subject on the Oct. 18 episode of the Joe Rogan Experience during a wider...
