Carney to attend Trump’s Israel-Hamas peace plan summit in Egypt

Prime Minister Mark Carney is off to Egypt this afternoon to take part in a summit surrounding the truce U.S. President Donald Trump helped arrange between Israel and Hamas.
Carney is heading to the city of Sharm el-Sheikh, joining other world leaders Monday where Egyptian President Abdel-Fattah el-Sissi says he will co-chair a “peace summit.”

Alberta’s Auditor-General is racing to complete his investigation into procurement practices in the province’s health care system within the next six months, after the government rejected his proposal to extend his contract until the probe is finished.Doug Wylie’s eight-year term as the province’s Auditor-General expires at the end of April, 2026.
