Trump tariffs on lumber, furniture go into effect

Last month, U.S. President Donald Trump signed a presidential proclamation announcing a 10 per cent tariff on imports of softwood timber and lumber.
According to a semi-annual report from the International Monetary Fund, today's global markets are becoming 'excessively comfortable' with significant risks. Economic experts fear that these risks could trigger a 'disorderly' market correction. Canadian economist Moshe Lander explains further in Hour 2.
