Hour 3 of Ottawa Now for Wed. October 15th, 2025

October 15, 2025

The province has reached the halfway mark in clearing Ontario’s Health Care Connect waiting list. However, it doesn’t capture everyone without primary care, largely because there is a sign-up process involved. Not all Ontarians are willing to go through with that. Regardless, the Ministry of Health insists that the program is working. As of this week, they claim to have connected 118,000 people with either a family doctor or a primary care team. That amounts to 50 percent of the people who were in line for the program. Have you used the program yet? Did it work for you? Kristy Cameron sifts through the CFRA textboard and tackles today’s Question of the Day. Meantime, Gatineau's STO service is facing a bumpy future, as some workers are threatening strike action as soon as next week. CTV's Tyler Fleming tells us what we know so far. Plus, ChatGPT continues to make new friends, from plumbers to WalMart. Shruti Shekar, the editor-in-chief of Android Central, pays us a visit in Hour 3.
