The Ontario Medical Association is concerned that a new provincial policy will lead to fewer doctors entering the healthcare system. In the case of Mohamed Alhassoun, it’s looking like an uphill battle. He has lived in Ottawa for many years, and also owns a home in Canada’s Capital. However, he is originally from Syria, and moved to Canada from Saudia Arabia. And now, because he didn’t attend high school in Ontario, he can’t apply to live in Ontario residencies if he tries to move again. He joins Kristy Cameron on today’s Ottawa Now.
