Hour 3 of Ottawa Now for Thurs. October 30th, 2025

October 30, 2025

Police have laid murder charges in connection with the disappearance of a Smiths Falls man, who was last seen over 2 years ago. CTV’s Katie Griffin has the latest in Hour 3. Meantime, several Ontario Mayors and city councillors have called on the Ford government to reverse an upcoming ban on speed cameras. Heck, even some police groups have vented their frustrations. Yet, those pleas appear to have fallen on deaf ears at Queen’s Park, as the ban officially moves forward. CFRA’s Andrew Pinsent has more on that. But first, it’s time to tackle today’s Question of the Day. A Canadian Senator has had just about enough of today’s sports gambling ads, saying they air way too much. And while Marty Deacon can’t get rid of them, she wants to limit their airtimes. Her bill has gained tons of traction in the Canadian Senate, but it still needs to pass several readings in the House of Commons before it becomes law. Do you support it? Text into the show and let us know!
