Hour 2 of Ottawa Now for Tues. November 4th, 2025
Last week, the Ford government passed sweeping legislation that will take speed cameras off Ontario’s streets. That crackdown starts today, as City Hall has been instructed by the province to shut down every single camera on their roster. That will be done on November 14th. One of the most successful camera zones in Canada’s Capital resides in Rideau-Vanier, located on King Edward between Bolton and St. Patrick. Between January and May of this year, that camera alone issued 15,766 tickets. Kristy Cameron chats with Rideau-Vanier councillor Stephanie Plante in Hour 2. Meantime, if you’re looking for the best local businesses, whether it’s a restaurant or the nearby dentist, an asset that most customers use for guidance is Google Reviews. But what if machine-made reviews are flooding today’s marketing posts? We examine this dilemma with Steve Szentesi, a competition and advertising lawyer who is based in Toronto.
