The City of Toronto expects to run out of landfill space by 2035, and despite approving a “long term waste plan” in 2016, city officials are still searching for solutions.
The budget says new funding will go toward 'digital solutions to maximize efficiency in security screening activities' and developing a new preclearance system for travellers.
