Hour 2 of Ottawa Now for Fri. November 7th, 2025

November 7, 2025

A hockey arena, a concert venue, a football stadium, and a handful of other amenities were up for discussion at Ottawa City Hall, as City Council prepared to vote on the future of Lansdowne Park. Mayor Mark Sutcliffe had previously talked about the importance of building a medium-sized music venue at the Bank Street beacon, all part of an effort to pull in musical acts that might normally bypass Ottawa. That opinion is echoed by Ken Craig, a longtime local promoter and a former Vice-President of Live Nation Canada. He joins Kristy Cameron in Hour 2. Plus, as the first signs of snowfall loom large, so is a brand-new ski season. CFRA’s Chris Holski explains further, while also keeping his eyes glued to City Hall.
