Ottawa Now - OCDSB has a new Director of Education after Pino Buffone abruptly steps aside

Ottawa’s largest school board has a new Director of Education. On Tuesday, the OCDSB announced that Pino Buffone would be stepping aside from his post ‘effective immediately’. Stacey Kay will be taking the wheel moving forward, as the board remains under provincial supervision. Robert Plamondon is calling the shots on behalf of the Ford government, as Ontario’s Premier emphasizes the need to keep the board’s budgetary finances in line. As of right now, school board trustees remain locked out of their emails, and are unable to make important decisions. OCDSB Trustee Lyra Evans joins Kristy Cameron on today’s Ottawa Now.
