The Ford government is looking at expanding the amount of public information within the province’s sex offender registry. Speaking to reporters on Monday, Ontario’s Premier made his stance crystal-clear, describing the idea as a ‘no-brainer’ to pursue. But how far is too far? Here in Ontario, the detail-by-detail breakdown of the sex offender registry is only available to police officers. And while the general public receives a warning if a sexual offender is living within the neighbourhood, they aren't privy to broader information about those cases.
