The 2025 Ontario Coaching Report finds that hazing is far more common than you might expect. Based on a survey of athletes and unrelated parents, it finds that 1-in-7 athletes between the 6 to 9 age range have experienced some form of it. And when it comes to today’s early-teens, specifically in the 13 to 15 age range, 1-in-3 have dealt with it. Dr. Jay Johnson is a leading Canadian hazing researcher with 30 years of experience, and recently helped assemble the 2025 edition of this report. He joins the show in Hour 1.
