RCMP say no one has survived a plane crash on Vancouver Island near Nanaimo, B.C.
Mounties say in a news release that the crash was reported at around three this morning in the area near Twilight Way to the southwest of the city.
Police say a plane was found in a large debris field and there are no survivors, but no details on the type of aircraft or the number of occupants were released.
The NDP leadership candidates admitted they need to brush up on their French-language skills when they faced off for the campaign’s first debate in Montreal. The debate on Thursday began with a plan to have 60 per cent of it take place in French, but most of the conversation happened in English.
