Trial begins for Alberta man accused in 5-year-old foster child's death

The young boy, who can't be named due to a court-ordered publication ban, was found dead on the floor of a vehicle on a rural property in June 2022. The man caring for him at the time has pleaded not guilty to manslaughter, criminal negligence causing death and failure to provide the necessaries of life.
