Law Society of Ontario suspends licence of lawyer accused in Ryan Wedding case

The Law Society of Ontario, which regulates the profession in the province, has suspended the licence of a lawyer facing criminal charges in the U.S. tied to alleged cocaine kingpin Ryan Wedding.
During a law society tribunal hearing Friday, the legal regulator cited a raft of criminal allegations against Deepak Paradkar in U.S. courts. These included conspiracy to murder a witness, conspiracy to export and distribute cocaine, and engaging in a criminal enterprise.
The death earlier this week of Annette Dionne, the last surviving sister of the famous quintuplets, is the end of a difficult era, but it is not the end of their story, her nephew says.Brian Callahan’s mother was an older sibling to the Dionne quintuplets. He said in an interview that his aunt, like the other four sisters, was a private person after being in the spotlight for the first 18 years of her life.
