City Council media availability

Mayor Mark Sutcliffe, Wendy Stephanson, City Manager, and Cyril Rogers, General Manager and Chief Financial Officer, Finance and Corporate Services Department, will respond to questions after Wednesday's Council meeting. Subject-matter experts will also be available to answer questions.
Residents will be able to watch the media availability on the Ottawa City Council YouTube channel.

Time: 10 minutes after Council adjourns
The new bill prohibits wearing or displaying any patches or symbols promoting a list of criminal entities established by the Public Security Department.

The Ontario government’s release of a lengthy report on intimate partner violence is mired in controversy, after the opposition claimed that the study was partly generated by artificial intelligence and that some sources cited in the report do not exist.Members of the Ontario New Democratic Party said in a news release that AI detection programs “flagged the government’s report as likely being largely AI-generated.” The release also said “multiple sources cited did not exist upon closer inspection.”
