Bare trust tax filings on pause again as government mulls exemptions

Canada's tax agency says it doesn't expect Canadians who hold simple trusts, known as bare trusts, to file required tax forms this coming tax season — but legislative changes currently before the House of Commons means the requirements will likely be there in 2027.

O-Train Line 1 service will start at noon, instead of 8 am, on Sunday, December 21.
On this day, service will run as follows:
R1 replacement bus service will run from 8 am to noon between Tunney’s Pasture and Blair stations.
Shuttle bus service will run between St-Laurent and Cyrville stations, and between Lees Station and Mackenzie King Bridge.
Full Line 1 service will resume between Tunney’s Pasture and Blair stations by noon.
This service adjustment is required for software updates as part of the integration work for the O-Train East extension.
