Waterloo Region is facing a newly identified water capacity issue, raising concerns about growth, aging infrastructure and long-term climate resilience.
Federal public servants are expected to learn about job cuts in their departments when they return from their holiday break.Departments such as Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship, Environment and Climate Change, and Employment and Social Development have told their staff already that news on job cuts will be shared in the new year.

A husband and wife travelling from British Columbia to Toronto for the holidays say they were prevented from boarding a Flair Airlines flight when they showed up at the gate with two dogs and their 10-month-old daughter.
Ryan Coulson, an app developer, and Rebecca Bordeiasu, a grade-school teacher, booked their flight on Nov. 3 for a Dec. 12 departure from Abbotsford Airport, near their home in Langley, B.C.
