Impaired drivers in Ontario face automatic, harsher penalties under new rules now in effect

New rules and increased penalties for impaired driving took effect this month across Ontario, after the province made amendments to the Highway Traffic Act. Advocacy groups say more can be done to curb impaired drivers, but overall, the changes are positive.
