Helen Myhill, Renee Watkiss and Elsie Lynch approached the March Township council with a proposal: build a public library in 1967 to celebrate Canada’s centennial birthday. The three women asked for $5,000 to get started and to pass a bylaw in accordance with the Public Libraries Act. Read More
