Catherine Fife saw her proposed law to mandate the government to pay closer attention to trends and outcomes in sexual assault trials voted down by the Progressive Conservatives.
The Supreme Court of Canada dismissed two challenges to the Jordan framework on Friday, ruling that the time limits put on criminal trials before charges be thrown out of court are justified under Section 11(b) of the Charter.
