Today’s rising gas prices have many families rethinking their Summer vacation plans – and perhaps pivoting to a shorter road trip. Kristy Cameron digs deeper with Julie Beun, the Managing Director of Communications and Public Relations for CAA North and East Ontario. Meantime, the City of Ottawa has just approved a plan to cut development charges by more than half, a vote that was nearly unanimous. A new poll has revealed that 70 per cent of Canadians think their high tax bill reduces their standard of living, while the majority of respondents also feel they pay too much in taxes and government subsidies are not worth the cost.
