B.C. wildfire crews use drone to trigger controlled burn in Canadian first

The BC Wildfire Service says crews working on the Brunswick complex of wildfires near Boston Bar northeast of Vancouver used a drone to trigger a controlled burn in what it says was a Canadian first. The wildfire service says the drone was able to 'safely and precisely ignite targeted fuels' in mountainous terrain.
The 68-year-old and 74-year-old men knew each other and New Brunswick RCMP said there was no threat to public safety following the incident.
