Starting this year, high school students in Ontario are being graded on their attendance and participation. It will account for a final 15 percent mark for Grades 9 and 10 and a final 10 percent mark for Grades 11 and 12. Meantime, it’s no secret that Downtown Ottawa and Centretown have changed a lot over the years. Back in May, we learned that property crimes in Ottawa was up 28 percent compared to last year’s data. We do a vibe check with Erik Polk, the co-owner of Subito Sandwich on Bank and Gladstone. Not only have they seen some of these changes with their own eyes, they have also fallen victim to these incidents as well.
