Anita Payne ~ The Great March for Climate Action

I believe that action on climate change will only happen when a social movement becomes powerful enough to raise public awareness to an acute level. When that occurs, the dialogue on climate change will change forcing politicians to take notice.

The Great March for Climate Action has the potential to do this.

I am pleased to share this letter about my friend Anita Payne. Anita and I have a lot in common. We are both active members of the Green Party, we have both been candidates in previous elections and we were both at the Climate Reality Leadership Corps in Chicago this past July to receive our Climate Leader training.

Anita is the first Canadian to register for The Great March for Climate Action which will begin in Los Angeles in March of 2014 and end in Washington in November. The following is her article published on December 10, 2013 on BoomerWarrior.Org.

Social change comes about when many small individual acts create an unstoppable tide. It happened with women
