Breaking News! As we countdown to the final hours of the ‘Banned on the Hill’ campaign, two great environmental advocacy organizations, DeSmog Canada and Dogwood Initiative, have published new articles. Check out the links below…
When the campaign started 45 days ago the single goal was to take the ‘Banned on the Hill’ campaign to Ottawa. We hit the ground running. Within 2 weeks, thanks to you, we were fully funded. Approximately $6,500 was spent purchasing outdoor posters and ad space, which ran from mid-May to June 23. The slew of media coverage from The Guardian UK, Toronto Star, Vancouver Observer,CTV, Ottawa Citizen, Grist Magazine and more — show that our investment was very worthwhile!
As of 3pm ET, we are 248% funded! The remaining $6,000 will be used to take the ‘Banned on the Hill’ campaign to other cities. (Halifax is confirmed thanks to Dalhousie’s purchase of my talk/workshop). Calgary, Vancouver and Washington are all looking promising.
If you have friends or contacts there who may be interested in helping please share this update with them. And feel free to put them in touch with me.
What is Harper afraid of? Many voices! Speaking up for the environment.
Thanks for all that you do!
The campaign ended Friday, June 28th at 11:59pm, Pacific Time.
