The teachers'strike in BC is getting out of hand. The government is playing deaf and does not care about what is happening to our children. This government must be fired.
All taxpayers, teachers and parents alike need to be side by side to do their best to remove this government from power. What do we need them for? They cannot work for us or with us. So they have to go.
If teachers cannot voice their opinions and cannot denounce the horrible classroom conditions, then there is something wrong in this country of ours that we call democratic. I am sick and tired of hearing people insulting teachers, thinking that they are after the money. Teachers are asking for a tiny fraction in comparison to what these politicians take every month.
Yes, they deserve a raise and better classroom conditions. After all, they are the ones that run the classrooms. Education is not a subject that can be taken lightly. It is the core that cements this country and takes it to a better high, and without it, we will be heading back to the dark ages.
And, if we cannot value education, then we certainly will have a nation of "débiles' and ignorant consumers who cannot fight for their rights nor protect their freedom. Parents and all taxpayers need to be aware that the teachers care deeply about children. Parents need to understand the rules of the sick game that this government is playing along with the media.
Solidarity must take place between teachers, parents, students, all professionals and taxpayers. Without this valid component, we will continue to have a phony government that works to satisfy their own agenda.
