Better Science, Better Policy panel discussion Nov. 21st

November 13, 2014

This panel discussion will be an opportunity for members of the community to hear a variety of perspectives from a veteran contributor of international water agreements, an scientist-turned-activist working to improve public access to Canadian science, and a professor working to bridge economic, engineering and policy aspects of energy and the environment. To keep things objective, we have called on a respected journalist to moderate the panel discussion.

Please join us for what could be the best hour of discussion on policy, transparency, accountability, and the role of science in Canada to be had in Ottawa this year.

Please join us for the Better Science, Better Policy panel discussion on Friday, Nov. 21st at the amphitheatre of the Heron Road Community Centre in south Ottawa, 1480 Heron Rd. We have put together a top-notch panel to discuss questions of the role of science in formulating effective government policy, Canadians' access to public science, and how to manage the interaction of energy, environment, innovation and the economy.

Please refer to the attached PDF and JPEG files for details. You are encouraged to post hard copies in your neighbourhood.

We hope to see you there!
