Jennifer Jennekens, Candidate for School Trustee, Zone 7

Dear Voters:

As the Zone 7, School Trustee, I will actively promote an environment that is inclusive to all children. I am a strong advocator for children with special needs and children and youth struggling with mental health issues.  I would be honoured to represent your interests, ideals and initiatives for the next four years.

 

My Platform and priorities include:

  • Representing the interests and values of this community of parents and students together;
  • Acting as your voice to express your views on the education issues that matter most;
  • Ensuring students with special needs are given opportunities to flourish by promoting respectful integration and inclusion;
  • Ensuring that your tax dollars are spent wisely;
  • Promoting equal opportunity for our children to learn and grow into responsible, contributing citizens, taxpayers, workers, and parents;

I will take my responsibility as School Trustee to listen and work with the School Board to achieve the goals of the community and the School Board dutifully and respectfully and provide information, help, and advice for the residents of Zone 7.

  • Bachelor of Arts in Criminology from Carleton University
          - Willis Business College Graduat
          - George Brown College Graduate
  • Strong advocate for special needs with vast personal experience
  • 25 years of professional work experience
  • Currently a full-time Parliament Hill staff member
