I'm a bit undone--A lot triggered by the Weinstein stuff, mostly because it's the meta truth for every woman I know. It's not Hollywood, it's not OTHERTOWN, it's EVERYTOWN.
I was 17 years old when my French teacher at Cegep told me I had a beautiful ass. I never went back to class, and never told anyone.
Both of my daughters have already had experiences like this, at 14, and 17.
Trump, Weinstein, Cosby, Ailles, Ghomeshi? They are the mass media re-ification of a terribly awful, sick, systemic misogyny which has to end. It MUST STOP!
