Roland Stieda, an active member of the larger eastern Ottawa community, is dedicated to strengthening the communities in Innes Ward and of Ottawa east in general. His dedication to his immediate and larger community is evident by his active volunteering with numerous community associations, Orleans Kiwanis, social service organizations, and support of local hockey and soccer associations. Throughout his 47 years, Roland has always been a community minded individual who has been willing to give of his time and energy to help others. Together with his wife and two daughters, Roland has established a strong, community focused family life in Ottawa.
With an education in both Political Science and in Information Technology, Roland has built a successful career in the private and public sectors, allowing him to gain a solid foundation in business and bureaucratic processes. Roland is a firm believer in the development of community based initiatives to help define solutions for community defined issues. While always willing to lend a helping hand to others, Roland holds strongly to the belief that individuals and communities must take the first step in the development of solutions. As the councillor for Innes Ward, Roland will continue the progress made in ensuring that the east end of Ottawa is properly and strongly represented at city hall, while at the same time identifying best practices for service delivery to residents.
