Bottled water, plumbing supplies and food continue to be flown in to a beleaguered First Nation in northern Manitoba, as its chief met Wednesday with political leaders to survey extensive damage to the community after a days-long power outage.
Manitoba Premier Wab Kinew, federal Minister of Northern and Arctic Affairs Rebecca Chartrand and Assembly of First Nations National Chief Cindy Woodhouse Nepinak are among a delegation touring Pimicikamak Cree Nation.

Alberta member of Parliament Garnett Genuis is claiming an attack “on free speech” after the York University Student Center (YUSC) rejected a request for him to bring his public discussion forum to the campus on Friday.

A new report from Nanos Research shows that Artificial Intelligence is turning into – for many Canadians – part of daily life. This ranges from services like ChatGPT and Gemini, to other avenues such as CoPilot.
