Hour 3 of Ottawa Now for Wed. January 7th, 2026

January 7, 2026

The Christmas holidays are behind us, and we hope you’re returning to the workstation rested and recharged. However, a new survey says those vacay days might produce the opposite effect. ADP Canada reveals that many Canadian workers feel anxious when their vacay ends, or they don’t feel fully refreshed when it does. That’s due to a buildup of work that has accumulated while watching TV or soaking up the sun. And if you are gone for a full week, it takes an average of 17 additional hours to either prepare or catch up. Do you think the ‘time off tax’ is a real thing? If so, how do you counter it? Kristy Cameron sifts through the CFRA textboard and tackles today’s Question of the Day. Plus, Samsung’s new phone is out, and some reviewers are labeling it as a creation straight out of science fiction. Shruti Shekar, the editor-in-chief of Android Central, pays us a visit in Hour 3.
