Judge orders Manitoba to reconsider polar bear viewing permits for Churchill ecotourism company

A Manitoba judge says Natural Resources Minister Ian Bushie must reconsider granting permits to a company that’s no longer allowed to take tourists to see polar bears in large tundra vehicles east of Churchill.
The report examined a crash of a Bell Textron 206L-4 that experienced a hard landing in July 2025 west of Red Deer during a private flight with the pilot and a passenger on board.
