Pileup on Highway 401 near Gananoque leaves 'scene of devastation'

A child was seriously injured and "many other people" hurt Thursday in a pair of collisions on Highway 401 east of Gananoque, Ont., that involved at least 20 vehicles, according to provincial police.

Tuesday “started as any other” for Tumbler Ridge, B.C, mom Cia Edmonds, but within hours she was sitting in the Vancouver children’s hospital with her 12-year-old daughter, Maya, “fighting for her life” due to gunshot injuries to her head and neck.
