Family warns ending inquests for jail deaths 'turns a person into a number'

Ontario’s Ministry of the Solicitor General is reviewing feedback on a possible amendment to its Coroners Act that may replace mandatory inquests into jail deaths with coroner-led annual reviews. Chris Bolt, who recently watched the inquest into the death of his sister Amanda, says the change will cause more harm than good.
