Marineland presents plan to federal officials to export 30 belugas to U.S. aquariums

American aquariums say they visited Marineland last week with the goal of “providing hope and a future” for 30 beluga whales that face euthanasia should they not be moved.
The park in Niagara Falls, Ont., presented a plan to the federal government this week to export its belugas and four dolphins south of the border.

Investigators had spoken to nearly 100 witnesses as of Monday evening as they attempt to piece together what happened inside the Dennis M. Lynch Arena in Pawtucket.
