Autism charity facing OPP probe of provincial grants

January 27, 2026

An autism charity that received more than $12-million from the Ontario government – including $3.28-million from its controversial Skills Development Fund – is facing a police investigation of its finances.

The Ontario Provincial Police says its anti-rackets branch has launched a probe related to funding provided by the province’s Ministry of Children, Community and Social Services for Jake’s House for Autistic Children.
