Autism charity facing OPP probe of provincial grants

An autism charity that received more than $12-million from the Ontario government – including $3.28-million from its controversial Skills Development Fund – is facing a police investigation of its finances.
The Ontario Provincial Police says its anti-rackets branch has launched a probe related to funding provided by the province’s Ministry of Children, Community and Social Services for Jake’s House for Autistic Children.
U.S. authorities alerted the RCMP about Ryan Wedding's imminent arrest days before he was taken into U.S. custody in Mexico last week, Commissioner Mike Duheme has told CBC News. The revelation marks the clearest indication yet that investigators knew of the longtime fugitive's whereabouts before Jan. 22, when the Mexican government said Wedding "voluntarily surrendered."
