Halifax councillors vote down ride-share bylaw changes mayor calls ‘regulatory burden’

Councillors in Halifax have voted down proposed amendments that were aimed at modernizing the municipality's bylaws around taxi operators and ride-share companies.
As part of a push to sustain the struggling post-secondary sector, the province will inject new cash into colleges and universities and allow them to raise tuition fees.
