Physician licensing program in Atlantic Canada undergoing changes in wake of sexual-assault charges against doctor

Changes have been made to Canada’s first interprovincial physician licensing program after a doctor who had lost his licence in Quebec was able to continue practising in New Brunswick and Nova Scotia, where he was later charged with sexually assaulting patients.
Federal officials have revealed that the total expenditures incurred during a controversial cull at a B.C. ostrich farm last year amounted to nearly $7 million.
