The House of Commons has returned for the Winter Session, and Prime Minister Carney kicked things off with a big announcement on Monday. His government is launching a GST credit to help Canadians manage the rising cost of groceries. The quarterly payments will see an increase of 25 percent over the next 5 years, and will also include a one-time top-up of 50 percent this June. We dig deeper with Mike Von Massow, a food economist at the University of Guelph.
