Police forces in smaller Ontario cities struggling to pay for new training standards

A new policing law that came into effect in 2025 raised standards for training and regulations but was not accompanied with new funding for forces to action the changes.
Several people involved in Ottawa's music scene are pleading with Algonquin College to reconsider a proposed cut to its music industry arts program, one of 30 that could be axed by the college's board of governors in February.
