Plans for Canada’s first high-speed rail network are in motion, but what are the best locations to house this operation in Canada’s Capital? The first segment would connect Ottawa and Montreal, with construction slated to begin in 2029. Led by Alto, this project is being labeled as one of Canada's most significant infrastructure investments in decades, so they have to get this right. Does the old Union Station make the most sense? A Toronto synagogue was hit and damaged by gunfire Monday night in what police are investigating as a “targeting incident” and potential hate crime. Toronto Police Service officers were dispatched to Temple Emanu-El on Old Colony Road in North York just before 11 p.m. on reports of gunshots and located “evidence of gunfire” at the scene.
