Ontario’s regional coroner has called a mandatory inquest into the 2019 death of Evan Freeman, who died following a fatal stabbing spree and standoff with Kingston police.

On Sept. 5, 2021, a young man was found critically injured on a field at Penticton Secondary School. He later died in hospital.
